MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, November 19. Becker College's Bailey Coons (Casper, Wyo.) earned Player of the Week accolades. SUNY Canton's Brooke Susac (Bowmanville, Ont.) and Sophia Koenig (Derby, N.Y.) earned Goaltender and Rookie of the Week recognition respectively for their play this past weekend.

Player of the Week

Bailey Coons – Becker College
(Junior, Forward – Casper, Wyo.)

Coons helped the Hawks skate to back-to-back ties in Colonial Hockey Conference action this past weekend, factoring in every goal for Becker on the weekend. Coons netted a pair of goals in a 2-2 tie with Johnson & Wales on Friday, before assisting on the Hawks lone goal in a 1-1 stalemate with the Wildcats on Sunday. 

Goaltender of the Week

Brooke Susac – SUNY Canton
(Sophomore, Goaltender – Bowmanville, Ont.)

Susac stopped 55 of the 56 shots she faced as the Roos took down Salem State in a Colonial Hockey Conference weekend sweep. The sophomore stopped all 30 shots she faced in an 8-0 shutout on Saturday after turning aside 25 of the 26 shots she faced in a 5-1 Friday win. Susac finished with two wins, a .982 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average on the week. 

Rookie of the Week

Sophia Koenig – SUNY Canton
(Freshman, Forward– Derby, N.Y.)

Koenig had an impressive week posting three goals and two assists including an on-ice rating of +6 in a 2-0 week for the Roos as they outscored Salem State 13-1 in a CHC weekend sweep. The rookie totaled two goals and two assists in an 8-0 win on Saturday after scoring once in a 5-1 Friday win. 

Honor Roll

Sydney Jordan – SUNY Canton
(Sophomore, Defense – Prince George, B.C.)

Jordan posted three goals and two assists recording an on-ice rating of +6 in a 2-0 week for the Roos as they outscored Salem State 13-1 in a CHC weekend sweep. The sophomore defenseman recorded her first collegiate hat trick and added an assist in an 8-0 Saturday victory. She also tallied an assist on Friday.

 

Lexi Klein, Endicott College
(Junior, Forward – Shoreview, Minn.)

Klein netted a hat trick during a 5-1 Endicott victory over Nichols on Friday, notching the first hat trick of her career.

 

Chyne Kennedy – Morrisville State
(Freshman, Defense – Southwold, Ont.)

The freshman defender notched Morrisville's only goals (2) in a Saturday setback against Potsdam.
