MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, November 13. Endicott College's Teneal Perry (Halifax, Nova Scotia) earned Player of the Week honors for her performance over the weekend. Julia Aberg (Stockholm, Sweden) of Johnson & Wales University was selected as the league's Goaltender of the Week while Morrisville State College's Renee Stevenson (Winnipeg, Manitoba) was named Rookie of the Week.
Player of the Week
Teneal Perry – Endicott College
(Sophomore, Forward – Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Perry scored three goals in Endicott's home-and-home sweep of Becker College this weekend, including two tallies and the game-winner in the Gulls' 4-0 victory over the Hawks on Friday.
Goaltender of the Week
Julia Aberg – Johnson & Wales University
(Freshman, Goaltender– Stockholm, Sweden)
Aberg picked up her first collegiate victory in the 2-1 win over Stevenson University on Saturday. The first-year goaltender notched 23 saves while only allowing one goal as the Wildcats handed the Mustangs their first CHC loss.
Rookie of the Week
Renee Stevenson– Morrisville State College
(Freshman, Forward– Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Stevenson paced Morrisville State with two goals and two assists for a four-point weekend as the Mustangs swept Canton in Colonial Hockey action on the weekend. In the 4-1 victory Friday night, Stevenson collected the assist on the Mustangs first score. She then added two goals and an assist in the 6-2 win Saturday afternoon, notching the second tally of the day for her first collegiate score, before adding another midway through the period. Her assist came on a power play opportunity, and the eventual game winner early on in the second.
