MARSHFIELD, Mass. – The Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) weekly awards were announced for play through Sunday, November 6. Chelsea Blackburn (Westland, Mich.) of Stevenson University and teammate Annie Smyth-Hammond (Marston Mills, Mass.) were named Player and Co-Goaltender of the Week respectively. Morrisville State College's Vanessa Klimpke (Winnipeg, Manitoba) earned Rookie of the Week honors while Endicott College's Alyssa Peterson (Cranberry Township, Pa.) was selected as Co-Goaltender of the Week.
Player of the Week
Chelsea Blackburn – Stevenson University
(Junior, Forward – Westland, Mich.)
Blackburn notched three goals in two wins vs. Becker College this weekend (including both game-winners). The junior scored both tallies in Friday's contest before scoring the first goal of Saturday's tilt. In five games against Becker, Blackburn has totaled nine goals and one assist and four game-winning goals.
Co-Goaltenders of the Week
Alyssa Peterson – Endicott College
(Freshman, Goaltender– Cranberry Township, Pa.)
In her collegiate debut Saturday, Alyssa Peterson stopped 17 shots against Johnson & Wales University to guide the Endicott women's ice hockey team to a 2-0 conference win over the Wildcats at Lynch Arena.
Annie Smyth-Hammond – Stevenson University
(Freshman, Goaltender– Marston Mills, Mass.)
Smyth-Hammond recorded 22 saves in a 2-0 shutout in her lone start of the week against Becker on Saturday. The rookie is 2-0 in net this season with 44 saves and a 0.50 GAA.

Vanessa Klimpke – Morrisville State College
(Freshman, Forward– Winnipeg, Manitoba)
Klimpke had a six-point weekend on five goals and an assist to lead Morrisville State to a 2-0 Colonial Hockey record with wins over Salem State. On Friday, the freshman netted the game winner before pouring in four goals and an assist with a +3 rating on Saturday. Three of her scores came on special teams play, two power play tallies and a short-handed goal.
Kanekaroroks McComber – Morrisville State College
(Senior, Forward – Kahnawake, Que.)
McComber had a balanced outing across two games on the weekend to lead Morrisville State to a 2-0 Colonial Hockey opening record, posting four total points behind two goals and two assists with a +4 overall rating for the weekend. On Saturday McComber posted two goals and an assist for three points.
